You cannot send a message from another person's mailbox where you have Full Mailbox Access permission (820956)

SYMPTOMS

When you log on to another person's mailbox where you have Full Mailbox Access permission, and try to send a message from the other person's mailbox, you may receive a message that is similar to the following: You have exceeded the storage limit on your mailbox. You may receive this message even if the storage limits of the other person's mailbox and of your mailbox have not been exceeded.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if both of the following conditions are true:
  • The storage limit of the other person's mailbox is greater than the storage limit of your mailbox.
  • The total size of the other person's mailbox is greater than the storage limit of your mailbox.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server service pack that contains this hotfix.
