You cannot separate a single subpage from a group of subpages (820718)


The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Office OneNote 2003
  • Microsoft Office OneNote 2003, Service Pack 1 (SP1)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to separate one subpage from a group of subpages in OneNote 2003, all the subpages are ungrouped.

For example, if you right-click the Page tab of the page that you want to separate and then click Ungroup pages, all the subpages in the group are ungrouped, not just the page that you selected.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior and to separate one subpage from a group of subpages, you must ungroup the group of subpages and then group the pages that you want to keep together. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Right-click the Page tab of the page that you want to ungroup and then click Ungroup pages.
  2. Press and hold down the CTRL key, click the Page tab of each page that you want to group again, and then release the CTRL key.
  3. Right-click one of the selected Page tabs, and then click Group pages.
