Application Center 2000 NLB Full Internet Name Not Replicated to Cluster Members (819879)

SYMPTOMS

If the Full Internet Name box on the Cluster Parameters tab of the Network Load Balancing (NLB) properties sheet is left blank on the controller, the full Internet name is not replicated to the cluster members.

CAUSE

Application Center 2000 uses the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) NLB provider. This provider does not support leaving the Full Internet Name box blank.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, do either of the following:
  • Do not leave the Full Internet Name box blank.
  • Leave the Full Internet Name box blank on all members of the cluster.

MORE INFORMATION

The Application Center 2000 user interface does not allow you to set a blank cluster name.
