"Active Directory Installation Failed" Error Message When You Try to Demote or to Promote a Domain Controller (819653)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to demote or to promote a domain controller, you may receive the following error message:
Active Directory Installation Failed
The remote attempt at server Server_Name to remote server CN=Server_Name,CN=Servers,CN=Your_Site_Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=Your_Domain, DC=Domain from the enterprise failed.
"The security descriptor structure is invalid."

RESOLUTION
