SYMPTOMS

If you use the property window in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET to change the EnableLeaveAuthoringWarning property, the Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) console is left in an unusable state.

RESOLUTION

Service pack information

To install this hotfix, follow these steps:
  1. Run cmsupdate.exe to install the corrected DLL.
  2. Run GacUtil.exe from the command line:
     >cd \program files\microsoft visual studio .net\frameworksdk\bin 
    >gacutil /i "\Program Files\Microsoft Content Management Server\Server\bin\Microsoft.ContentManagement.WebControls.dll"
