You receive a clipsave error message when you print a publication in Publisher 2003 (819583)

SYMPTOMSWhen you print an Office Publisher 2003 publication, you may
receive a PostScript error message: %%[Error: undefined;
Offendingcommand: clipsave]%% CAUSEThis problem may occur if you are printing with a printer
driver that is configured for PostScript Level 3 support, to a PostScript
output device, such as an imagesetter or proof printer that does not support
PostScript Level 3. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem for the current publication, follow
these steps:
- On the File menu, click Page
Setup.
- Click the Printer and Paper
tab.
- Select the appropriate printer from the
Name list, and then click
Properties.
- Click Advanced.
- In the Printer_Name
Advanced Properties dialog box, expand PostScript
Options.
- Click PostScript Language Level, and then
change the value from 3 to 2.
- Click OK, and then click
OK again to return to the Page Setup dialog
box.
- Click OK.
To resolve this problem for future publications, follow these
steps:
- Click Start, and then click
Printers and Faxes.
- Right-click the icon of the printer you are printing to,
and then click Printing Preferences.
- Click Advanced.
- In the Printer_Name
Advanced Properties dialog box, expand PostScript
Options.
- Click PostScript Language Level, and then
change the value from 3 to 2.
- Click OK, and then click
OK again.

has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
at the beginning of this article.
