Bullets change to a different bullet style when you change the indent level in OneNote 2003 (818856)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Office OneNote 2003
  • Microsoft Office OneNote 2003, Service Pack 1 (SP1)

SYMPTOMS

The bullet style changes when you change the indent level of the bulleted text in OneNote 2003.

CAUSE

By default, this behavior occurs when you change the indent level of the bulleted text by pressing the TAB key or by clicking Indent on the Formatting toolbar. The bullet style changes to the appropriate bullet style for that indent position based on the built-in multi-level list style that OneNote 2003 uses for bullets.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior and use the same bullet style for all indent levels of your text, follow these steps:
  1. Select your bulleted text.
  2. On the Format menu, click Bullets.
  3. On the Bullets task pane, click the bullet that you want to apply.
