The hyperlink to a slide does not work when a comma is contained in the title of a slide presentation in PowerPoint 2002 or in PowerPoint 2003 (818853)

SYMPTOMS

When you click a hyperlink in your Microsoft PowerPoint 2002 or Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 slide presentation to redirect you to a different slide, the hyperlink does not work.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if the slide title you hyperlink to contains a comma.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, do not use a comma in the slide title that you want to hyperlink to.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
