SYMPTOMSWhen you try to start one of the Microsoft Office 2003
programs, you receive the following message:Your beta
software has expired. Please upgrade or use the Add or Remove Programs utility
under Control Panel to remove the software from your
computer.CAUSEThis behavior occurs because Microsoft Office 2003 Beta 2
has expired. Microsoft Office 2003 Beta 2
expires on the following dates: - Microsoft Office 2003 Beta 2: November 30, 2003
- Microsoft Office 2003 Beta 2 Refresh: January 31,
2004
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this behavior, use one of the following methods:
- Upgrade to the released version of Microsoft Office 2003.

- Remove Microsoft Office 2003 Beta 2 from your computer. To
do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, and then click
Control Panel.
- Click Add or Remove
Programs.
- Click Change or Remove
Programs.
- In the Currently installed programs
list, click your installed version of Microsoft Office 2003, and then click
Remove.
- When you are prompted with the question of whether you want to remove Office, click Yes.
