SYMPTOMSWhen you unplug a Universal Serial Bus (USB) microphone, your computer may stop responding.CAUSEThis problem occurs if the microphone is being used by a program (such as Microsoft NetMeeting, GraphEdit from the Microsoft DirectShow SDK, or AmCap from the DirectShow SDK) when you unplug the microphone.WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, do not unplug a USB microphone when audio is being played back. You might also be able to work around this problem by installing the DirectX 9.0b End-User Runtime package. The following file is available for download from the Microsoft Download Center:
