You Cannot Resume Your USB 2.0-Enabled Computer from Hibernation (818339)

SYMPTOMSWhen you have a Microsoft Natural Keyboard Elite attached a
Universal Serial Bus (USB) 2.0 port, you may not be able to resume your
computer from hibernation.
Note This issue occurs most frequently with portable (laptop or Tablet
PC) computers.CAUSEThis issue may occur when the USB Enhanced Host Controller
Interface (EHCI) driver (the driver that allows USB 2.0 functionality) is
installed on your computer. WORKAROUNDTo resolve this issue, disable the USB EHCI controller in
Device Manager. To do so, follow these steps: Note When you disable the EHCI driver, you lose USB 2.0 functionality.
By default, you then have USB 1.1 functionality.
- Click Start, and then click
Control Panel.
- Click Performance and Maintenance, and
then click System.
- In the System Properties dialog box, click
the Hardware tab, and then click Device
Manager.
- Expand Universal Serial Bus
controllers.
- Right-click the USB EHCI controller, and then click
Disable.
Note The name of your EHCI controller may vary. - When the confirmation message appears, click
Yes.
- Close Device Manager.
