SYMPTOMSWhen you try to install Microsoft Office 2003, and you use more than
one Transform file to customize the installation, all the intended Transforms
may not be applied during the installation. An error message does not appear
and there is no log entry for the problem.CAUSEThis problem may occur if you have modified the Setup.ini
file, have added multiple entries to the [MST] section, and at least one of the
values entered in this section has quotation marks surrounding the value. As a
result, the first quoted entry and all MST entries after it are
ignored. For example: [MST]
mst1=\\corpserv\apps\office2003\basic config.mst
mst2="\\corpserv\apps\office2003\basic config.mst1"
mst3=\\corpserv\apps\office2003\basic config.mst2 Only the first MST will be applied in this case. WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, remove any quotation marks
around the values in the [MST] section of Setup.ini.
Note Removing the quotes will not cause paths with spaces to
fail.STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
