Upgrades or New Installations of HIS Server May Not Set Correct Flags in COM and CFG (818192)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000
  • Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000 SP1

SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade from a previous version of SNA Server to Host Integration Server 2000, or on a new installation, some internal flags may not be set correctly, and this causes the SNAPRINT service to behave incorrectly. Instead of reading SNA Manager settings correctly, the SNAPRINT service tries to read registry settings, and this can cause formatting issues with print jobs.
