ISA Server 2000 VPN Tunnel Drops Large Packets as Malformed (818033)

SYMPTOMSWhen you create a virtual private network (VPN) tunnel between two Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000 servers, large packets (of 1,500 bytes or more) may be dropped, with the packet filter log file reporting that the dropped packets are malformed.CAUSEThis behavior may occur if you install ISA Server 2000 on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, install the ISA Server 2000 Required Updates for Windows Server 2003 that are described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article: 331062 Running ISA Server on Windows Server 2003
