"An OLAP cube was successfully built but with errors" error message when you try to generate an OLAP cube from Project Server 2002 (817782)

SYMPTOMSWhen you try to generate an OLAP cube from Microsoft Project Server
2002, you may receive the following error messages: An
OLAP cube was successfully built but with errors Errors in your Application Log CAUSEThis behavior may occur if you have a
comma in any part of the Microsoft Project Server database. This
includes but is not limited to project names, resource names, task names,
enterprise codes, and outline codes.
Note Commas are used in Microsoft SQL Server as a list
separator and should be avoided.WORKAROUNDTo remove the special characters from your Enterprise
Outlines Codes in Enterprise Global, follow these steps:
- Start Microsoft Project Professional 2002, and then connect with your
Administrator account.
- On the Tools menu, point to
Enterprise Options, and then click Open Enterprise
Global.
- On the Tools menu, point to
Customize, and then click Enterprise
Fields.
- In the Customize Enterprise Fields dialog
box, select your Outline Code Level Resource or
Project.
- Click View LookUp Table.
- Locate and remove any of the following characters in your
Enterprise Outline Code:
/";:<>|[],.'?~`!$%^&*()-+={}\, - Click OK to save your changes.
- On the File menu, click
Save.
To remove special characters from the Enterprise Resource Pool, follow these steps:
- Start Microsoft Project Professional 2002, and then connect with
your Administrator account.
- On the Tools menu, point to
Enterprise Options, and then click Open Enterprise
Resource Pool.
- On the Edit menu, use the
Find command to identify special characters in every field.
To remove special characters from the project plan, follow these steps:
- Open a project plan
- On the Edit menu, use the
Find command to identify special characters in every
field.
