XADM: folderPathname Attribute for Folders in Exchange 2000 Server Is Blank (817212)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server
- Microsoft Exchange 2000 Enterprise Server
SYMPTOMSWhen you create a new folder in Exchange 2000 Server or when
you migrate folders from Exchange Server 5.5 to Exchange 2000 Server, you may
find that the folderPathname attribute is blank. CAUSEThis behavior occurs because the folderPathname property is not present in the Active Directory directory
service. Exchange 2000 Server does not populate Active Directory with the folderPathname attribute.
This attribute is present in the Exchange
Server 5.5 directory database.RESOLUTIONUse MAPI to retrieve the folderPathname property information. For more information about MAPI
