Accessibility Does Not Detect Missing ALT Text As An Error (817127)

SYMPTOMS

When you look for Accessibility errors in your Web page, missing ALT text is not detected as an error.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because a Content Web Part inserts ALT text in a CDATA tag. The Accessibility feature in FrontPage does not look for errors contained in CDATA tags.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, do not use a Content Web Part. Instead, use an Image Web Part.
