Xbox: You receive the "Unable to copy. You have reached the maximum 500 tracks." error message (816655)

SYMPTOMS

When you copy songs to your Xbox console, you may receive the following error message:
Unable to copy. You have reached the maximum 500 tracks.

CAUSE

There is a limit of 500 tracks or song per soundtrack. This error occurs when you try store more than the limit.

THINGS TO TRY

If there is room on your Xbox hard disk, you may create new sound tracks, split up an existing sound track, or remove tracks or songs from the soundtrack that you are trying to copy to. There is a limit of 100 different soundtracks.
