SYMPTOMSDuring an upgrade to Microsoft Windows Server 2003, you receive the following error message: Can't contact the dynamic update server, server not available. CAUSEIf the system time and date settings are very different from the current time and date settings (for example, the date is set some years in the future), the Dynamic Update Server cannot communicate correctly. This is because the time and date stamp of the client and server do not match.RESOLUTIONMake sure that the system that is being upgraded has the correct time and date settings before you start the upgrade.STATUS
