FIX: Pooled Interchange Component Never Restores Lost Connection to the BizTalk Document Tracking Database (815321)

SYMPTOMS

After a connection interruption between the computer that is running BizTalk Server and the computer that is running Microsoft SQL Server, you may receive the following error message when you call IInterchange::Submit() or IInterchange::SubmitSync():
An error occurred in BizTalk Server.
The following stored procedure call failed: "" { call dta_log_inbound_details( ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?)}"". :'[DBNETLIB][ConnectionWrite (WrapperWrite()).]General network error. Check your network documentation.'
After a connection loss to the computer that is running SQL Server, you cannot build error routines to trap the error and resubmit the initial failed submission. Instead, you must restart the Interchange COM+ application to resolve the problem.

The English version of this fix has the file attributes (or later) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated universal time (UTC). WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, disable the object pooling of the Interchange COM+ component.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
This problem was first corrected in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002 Service Pack 1.
