Update for the Inbox Component in Windows CE .NET 4.1 (815293)


The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

This update to the Inbox component addresses the following issues:
  • When you reply to a message that contains a line that is longer than approximately 70 characters, the Inbox tool may stop responding (hang) or quit.
  • Memory is leaked when you send or receive a message. This can also occur when you synchronize messages. The memory is reclaimed if you restart the tool.
  • If the object store is not specified as the location for attachment storage, and if an error occurs while you are adding an attachment, you can no longer add attachments. Instead, the attachment operation may result in no action, or you may receive the following error message:
    Unable to copy this attached file.

RESOLUTION

A supported software update is now available from Microsoft as Windows CE 4.1 Core OS QFE 815293. To resolve this problem immediately, click the following article number for information about obtaining Windows CE Platform Builder and core operating system software updates:
