writing software on a computer that already has CD writing software installed,
you may experience conflicts between the versions. You may receive an error
message about this when you install the software. When you install

have to remove the Adaptec CD-Burning Plug-in to do this, follow these steps.
Note These steps require that you restart your computer.
- Click Start, point to
Settings, and then click Control
Panel.
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs, click
Change/Remove Programs, click Windows Media Player
7.x, and then click Change/ Remove.
- Click to select the Remove Shared
Component check box, and then click Next.
- Click to select the Adaptec CD-Burning
Plug-in check box from the Components list, and then
click Next.

topReinstall the Adaptec CD-Burning Plug-in If you want to reinstall the Adaptec CD-Burning Plug-in,
reinstall Windows Media Player with the Adaptec CD-Burner Plug-in. To do this,
follow these steps:
- Start Windows Media Player Setup.
- In the Windows Media Component Setup
dialog box, click Next.
- Click to select the I have read the Privacy
Statement check box, and then click Next.
- In the Windows Media Components Setup
dialog box, verify that Upgrade newer components only is
selected, and then click Next.
- In the Components list, verify that the
Adaptec CD-Burning Plug-in check box is selected, and then
click Next.
Note If Adaptec CD-Burning software is present on the computer, the
Adaptec CD-Burning Plug-in check box does not
appear. - Click Next, and then click
Finish.
