BUG #: 5564 (SSCE)

SYMPTOMS

A Remote Data Access (RDA) PUSH of a DELETE to a tracked table fails with error message 28544 or error message 28565 if the tracked table has a primary key with a column that is a datetime or a smalldatetime data type.

Here are the error messages that might occur:
DESCRIPTION = ''
NUMBER = 80004005
NATIVE_ERROR = 28544, SSCE_M_RDAERRORROWSRETURNED
SOURCE = 'Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Windows CE Edition'
ParamCount = 6
Param #0 = 0,
Param #1 = 0,
Param #2 = 0,
Param #3 = 'tbl_t1Errors'
Param #4 = ''
Param #5 =''

-or-

DESCRIPTION = 'Push'
NUMBER = 80040E21
NATIVE_ERROR = 28565, SSCE_M_INSERTFAILED
SOURCE = 'Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Windows CE Edition'
ParamCount = 6
Param #0 = 0,
Param #1 = 0,
Param #2 = 0,
Param #3 = ''
Param #4 = ''
Param #5 = ''
In both cases, the error table specified on the PULL command for this object does not contain any information related to the failed PUSH operation.

WORKAROUND

If possible, change the primary key for the tracked table on SQL Server so that it does not contain a datetime or a smalldatetime data type column.
