SYMPTOMS
When you import a Hebrew text file into Excel 2002, the
contents of the text file may not be displayed correctly.
For example,
one or both of the following symptoms may occur:
- Text in individual cells of the Excel worksheet is
imported with Left-to-Right formatting instead of with Right-to-Left formatting.
- The table rows alternate with blank rows.
WORKAROUND
To prevent this problem from occurring, use the Convtext.exe tool to convert the text files into the Hebrew (Windows)
text format, and then open the converted files in Excel
2002.
Convtext.exe is included in the Hebrew version of
Microsoft Office XP and should be located in the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Office 10
