SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2002, when you use the Timer Control, you may receive an error message that indicates that an unhandled exception error has occurred in the Timer control.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if you add a Timer control to a Microsoft Windows Form in Visual Studio .NET. If the Tick event occurs and the Enabled property of the Timer control is set to False at the same time, the Tick event may be called again. This behavior causes an unhandled exception error.
