SYMPTOMS
When you try to extract a compressed
(.zip) file or folder by using any of the following methods
- Use the Cut command to move the item from a compressed folder to a non-compressed
folder.
- Copy and paste the item from a compressed folder to a non-compressed
folder.
- Drag the item from a compressed folder to a non-compressed
folder.
- Use the Copy this file option in the File and Folder
Tasks pane (click Start, and then click My Documents) to copy the item from a compressed folder to a non-compressed folder.
the file or folder is not
extracted as expected.
Note You
can use the Extract All Files Wizard under
Folder
Tasks to extract compressed files or folders.
