OL98: Error Message When You Try to Print an HTML-Formated E-Mail Message from Outlook 98 (814439)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to print an HTML-formatted e-mail message from Outlook 98, you may receive the following error message:
ERROR: Outlook caused an Invalid Page Fault in Module RPCRT4.DLL

CAUSE

This issue may occur after you install Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 on to a computer that is running Microsoft Windows 98. Internet Explorer 6.0 replaces the following two system files that Outlook 98 uses to print an HTML-formatted e-mail message:
  • Oleaut32.dll
  • Olepro32.dll

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, manually extract the Oleaut32.dll and Olepro32.dll files from your Windows 98 installation CD-ROM. For additional information about how to extract compressed files, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
