SYMPTOMS
If you try to save a document to a Document Management
System (DMS) and you click
Cancel to the following message to
cancel saving the document, a false record may be saved to the DMS:The document being saved contains comments and tracked changes.
Continue with save?If you click
Open on the
File menu, the document you canceled the save on is listed in
the DMS
Open dialog box. However, if you try to open this
file, you may receive an error message that is similar to the
following:
The document name or path is not
valid.
This symptom occurs if the
Warn before printing, saving
or sending a file that contains tracked changes or comments option is
enabled. To determine if this option is enabled, click
Options
on the
Tools menu in Word, and then click the
Security tab.

Hotfix Information
A supported fix is now available
from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem described in

table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated universal
time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time.
To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the
Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
