MSBBN/MN-500 Cannot Connect to VPN (814157)

SYMPTOMSYou have the Microsoft Broadband Networking Wireless Base
Station MN-500, and you cannot connect to your home virtual private network (VPN) from your workplace. You use a client
such as Cisco client at your workplace.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this, issue follow these steps:
- Log on to the Base Station Management Tool.
- Click Local Area Network.
- Change the Base Station IP address from 192.168.2.1 to
192.168.1.1.
- Click Apply. This will automatically
change the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) addresses to match this new subnet. However, if the computers
on the local area network (LAN) have static IP addresses, change the IP addresses to 192.168.1.x numbers.
- Release and renew the IP addresses for the computers that are
obtaining IP addresses automatically on the LAN, as described in the following steps.
Release and RenewTo release and renew your IP addresses: - Click Start, and then click
Run.
- In the Open box, type
cmd.
- Click OK.
- At the command prompt, type ipconfig
/release, and then press ENTER.
- Type ipconfig /renew, and then press ENTER.
- Close the command prompt window.
