This article describes how to set up MSN Bill Pay through Microsoft Money 2003 or through Microsoft Money 2004 by using a user name and personal identification number (PIN) that is different from your Windows Live ID.

MSN Bill Pay requires a separate user name and PIN to configure online bill pay services.

  1. Start Money, and then sign in to Money by using your Windows Live ID.
  2. In Money, on the Accounts & Bills menu, click Online Services Manager.
  3. Under Online Payment Service Providers, click Set Up Electronic Bill Pay Service.
  4. On the Set Up Online Payment Provider page, click Sign up today.
  5. On the Welcome to MSN Bill Pay Web site, click Sign up today.
  6. When you are prompted, enter your Windows Live ID, and then click Sign in.
  7. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to set up your MSN Bill Pay account with a different user name and four-digit PIN.
