CAUSE

This issue may occur if third-party software un-registers a critical Microsoft Money component. Currently, SnapStream Personal Video Station (PVS) software and Cellar! software may cause this issue.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, click Start, click Run, type regsvr32 "c:\windows\system32\msxml3.dll" in the Open box, and then press ENTER. Note On Microsoft Windows 2000-based computers, type regsvr32 "c:\winnt\system32\msxml3.dll".

Note If you receive the "LoadLibrary(msxml3.dll) failed - The specified module could not be found." error message, follow these steps:
  1. Visit the following Microsoft Web site:
  2. Click Open, and then click Yes to accept the License Agreement.
  3. Click Browse, click Desktop, and then click OK two times.
  4. On your desktop, double-click msxml3.cab, right-click msxml3.dll, and then click Extract.
  5. In the Select a Destination dialog box, click the C:\WINDOWS\System32 folder (or click the C:\Winnt\System32 folder on a Windows 2000-based computer), and then click Extract.
  6. Click Start, click Run, type regsvr32 msxml3.dll in the Open box, and then press ENTER.

  • Msxml3a.dll
  • Msxml3r.dll
  • Msxmlr.dll
