SYMPTOMSWhen you print from Notepad in the Danish-language version
of the products listed in the "Applies To" section at the beginning of this
article, you may find that page numbers do not appear on any pages of the
printed document.
This issue also occurs when you print from Notepad
in the English-language version of the products listed in the "Applies To'
section at the beginning of this article where Danish language support from the
Microsoft Windows Multilingual User Interface Pack (MUI) is
installed.CAUSEThis issue occurs because the letter and character
combination that Notepad uses to print page numbers in the footer section of
the document is incorrectly set to " &s" (without the quotation marks),
instead of "&p" (without the quotation marks).WORKAROUNDTo work around this issue, change the footer in Notepad to
use "&p" (without the quotation marks). To do so:
- Start Notepad.
- On the File menu, click Page
Setup.
- In the Footer box, type
&p, and then click OK.
Important: You must perform this procedure each time you restart and print
from Notepad. STATUS Microsoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
at the beginning of this article.
