SYMPTOMSWhen you try to send a fax by using a Microsoft Visual Basic
for Applications (VBA) macro, you may receive the following error
message: Run-time error '5663': Microsoft Mail Local Fax
is not installed on your system. CAUSE This problem may occur if you try to use the
ActiveDocument.SendFax method to send a document as a fax. The ActiveDocument.SendFax method does
not work with the Microsoft Windows 2000 or Windows XP fax program.WORKAROUNDTo send a fax from Microsoft Word 2003 when you use Windows
2000, on the File menu point to Send To, and
then click Fax Recipient. Follow the steps in the Fax Wizard
to send the fax.STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
