CAUSE

This problem is known to occur in Microsoft Windows 2000 when there are multiple Fp30wec.dll files stored on the computer.

RESOLUTION

To correct this problem, rename the extra copies of the Fp30wec.dll file on your computer, and then register the essential copy of the file Fp30wec.dll. To do this, follow these steps:Note Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps.
  1. Quit all Windows programs.
  2. Rename the extra copies of Fp30wec.dll:
    1. Click Start, and then click Search.
    2. Click All files and folders.
    3. In the All or part of the file name box, type Fp30wec.dll, and then click Search.
    4. The only essential Fp30wec.dll file is in the C:\Windows\System folder. If Search found other copies of Fp30wec.dll in other folders, rename each of these files. For example, rename each unnecessary copy of Fp30wec.dll as Fp30wec.old. To rename a file, right-click the file, and then click Rename. Type a new file name, and then press ENTER.
  3. To register the essential copy of Fp30wec.dll:
    1. Click Start, and then click Run.
    2. In the Open box, type cmd, and then click OK.
    3. Change to the Windows\System folder. To do this, type cd C:\Windows\System at the command prompt, and then press ENTER.
    4. At the C:\Windows\System prompt, type Regsvr32 Fp30wec.dll, and then press ENTER.
    5. After you receive the "registration succeeded" message, restart your computer.
