Advertisement Management Controls Do Not Appear in Control Panel During a Terminal Server or a Remote Desktop Session (813426)

SYMPTOMS

When you connect to a Systems Management Server (SMS) 2.0 client computer through a terminal services or a remote desktop session, the Advertised Programs and the Advertised Programs Monitor controls may not appear in Control Panel.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the controls are not multi-user aware.

RESOLUTION

With SMS Service Pack 5 (SP5) installed, the controls are available only on Windows XP clients during a remote desktop session.
