"The request is not supported" error message when you try to create a second DFS domain root (813053)

SYMPTOMSWhen you try to create a second Microsoft Distributed File
System (DFS) domain root on a Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition server, you
may receive the following error message: The following error occurred while creating DFS root server FQDN of server: The request is not
supported. CAUSEWindows Server 2003 Standard Edition supports only one DFS
root per computer. Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Server and Windows Server
2003 Datacenter support multiple DFS roots per computer.
RESOLUTION To resolve this issue, upgrade to Windows Server 2003
Enterprise Server Edition or Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition.
WORKAROUNDAfter you apply the update from Microsoft Knowledge Base article 903651, Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition can support more than one domain-based DFS namespace.

You cannot create more than one domain-based DFS namespace on a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition
Alternatively, work around this issue by adding multiple links off a single root.
