SYMPTOMSIf you switch to a Terminal Services Client console when your keyboard is in the KANA state, and then you start typing in any text box or document, the initial keystrokes that you type may be ignored. Additionally, any subsequent keystrokes in this scenario create uppercase Roman characters and not the expected Kana characters. CAUSEThis issue may occur when you switch your keyboard to the KANA
state, also known as the virtual key code VK_KANA state. This keyboard state is
valid only for the local computer. When you switch to the Terminal Services
Client console, the VK_KANA state is interpreted as the VK_CAPITAL state, or as the VK_CONTROL state on
the NEC PC-9800 computer.
Note The initial keystrokes are treated as command keystrokes, and therefore no text is typed and nothing appears to happen. RESOLUTION
