IntelliPoint: IntelliPoint 4.0 Removes Synaptics Touchpad Software (812573)

SYMPTOMS

When you install the Microsoft IntelliPoint software 4.0, the setup program removes the Synaptics Touchpad software and customizations. This issue does not occur when you install the IntelliPoint Mouse software for a wireless IntelliPoint product.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, visit the following Synaptics Web site to download and install the updated Touchpad software for your Synaptics Touchpad.

When you install the new Synaptics drivers, this may reset your IntelliPoint settings back to their default choices. You must reset the settings for your IntelliPoint device.
