FIX: VBScript Related ASP and Build Issues (812459)


The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows CE Platform Builder 4.0
  • Microsoft Windows CE .NET 4.0

SYMPTOMS

This articles addresses the following two issues:
  • After several visits to an ASP page that contains VBScript, you receive the following error message:
    Error in initialization of scripting engine: The ASP or JScript or VBScript libraries were not properly installed on this device Error = 0x8007000e
  • After you install the 329678 hotfix (VBScript MsgBox Function Does Not Work), you receive a build error that is similar to the following:
    vbscript.lib(rtwndio.obj) : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _SetFocus referenced in function "int __cdecl MessageBoxIndirectW(struct tagMSGBOXPARAMSW *)" (?MessageBoxIndirectW@@YAHPAUtagMSGBOXPARAMSW@@@Z)

RESOLUTION

A supported software update is now available from Microsoft as Windows CE 4.0 Core OS QFE 812459. To resolve this problem immediately, click the following article number for information about obtaining Windows CE Platform Builder and core operating system software updates:

STATUS
