XWEB: Outlook Web Access View Menu Retains the Last View You Used (812356)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server

SYMPTOMS

When you log on to Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA), the View menu displays the command you selected during your last OWA session.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
To have the View menu return to the default setting of the Messages command the next time you log on, click the Messages command before you log off OWA.

If you want to always view messages regardless of the user's last selection, you can customize the log off process. By customizing the log off process, you can add a step to re-render the Inbox view. This process selects the Messages command on the View menu. By default, after you do so, the Messages command is used for all later sessions.
