When you try to install Impossible Creatures, you may receive a warning message that no audio device has been detected during Setup. This behavior may occur if the power to this device is turned off. To resolve this issue, quit the Setup process, turn on the power to your audio device, and then run Setup again.

After you quit Impossible Creatures, your Windows sound setting may be reset to Desktop Stereo Speakers, even though before you played the game, the sound setting was set to Quadraphonic Speakers or another setting. To resolve this issue:

  3. Copy the four files to your Impossible Creatures installation directory. Replace the files that are already there. By default, this location is:
