XADM: Migrated Mailbox Cannot Receive Mail (812279)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server
- Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5
SYMPTOMSAfter your Exchange Server mailbox is migrated to Exchange
2000, you cannot receive mail from Exchange Server users, Exchange 2000 users,
or Internet users.CAUSEThis problem occurs because the
msExchUnmergedAttsPt attribute in the mailbox properties
retains a value that points to the Exchange Server MDB attribute when the
mailbox was migrated from Exchange Server to Exchange 2000.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, use ADSI Edit to remove the value
from the msExchUnmergedAttsPt attribute. To do so, follow
these steps.

LDAP version 3 client, and you incorrectly modify the attributes of Active
Directory objects, you can cause serious problems. These problems may require
you to reinstall Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server,
or both. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems that occur if you incorrectly
modify Active Directory object attributes can be solved. Modify these
attributes at your own risk.
