XCCC: "The Search Could Not Be Completed" Error Message When You Search for Addresses (812218)

SYMPTOMSIf you try to search for an entry in the Exchange 2000
Global Address List by using Outlook 2000, you may receive the following error
message: The search could not be completed. The table
requested by this operation contains too many names and cannot be
accessed CAUSEThis problem occurs because too many records are returned
during your search.WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, create subsets of the Global
Address List by creating address lists on your Exchange 2000 computer. Address
lists permit users to search for records in smaller subsets of data.

STATUS This
behavior is by design.MORE INFORMATION Outlook 2000 contains static limits for the amount of data
that can be returned by a search. Searches that are completed on 16-bit clients
can return up to 32 KB, and searches that are completed on 32-bit clients can
return up to 64 KB.
