FIX: If You Use the Split Function in a WebClass, You May Experience a Memory Leak (812012)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Split function in a Visual Basic 6.0 WebClass, a memory leak may occur. This is reflected in a steady increase in VM Size when viewed from the Task Manager, or an increase in the Private Bytes when viewed in Performance Monitor for the process that loads the WebClass.
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
