Export to SDO does not create valid SDO file (811924)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Content Management Server 2002
SYMPTOMSWhen you import a Server Data Object (SDO) file that was
generated without any problems, you may receive the following error message:
The XML parser could not parse the tag it was
given. When you open the SDO file with Notepad, you see an HTML text
page instead of valid SDO binary content. CAUSEOn the exporting computer, anonymous access to the /NR
virtual directory was removed.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, adjust permissions on the /NR
virtual directory and in access control lists (ACLs) for files in this
directory. Specifically, make sure that anonymous access is granted to the /NR
virtual directory and all subdirectories. Additionally, make sure
Read rights have been granted to Everyone on
the physical directories and files that this virtual directory is mapped to
(this is generally C:\Program Files\Microsoft Content Management
Server\Server\IIS_NR). STATUS This
behavior is by design.
