The BaseWindows_onload Event Handler Is Not Called for DHTML Designer Components (811810)

SYMPTOMS

If you are using a Web page with a Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 DHTML designer component that is listening to the BaseWindows_onload event, the component may not catch the BaseWindows_onload event when it occurs in Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (SP1). The same DHTML component receives the BaseWindows_onload event with Internet Explorer 6.

RESOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Internet Explorer 6 service pack that contains this fix.
