SYMPTOMS
When you use the
offsetTop DHTML property for a DIV tag within a table in Internet Explorer
6.0, this returns a different value from the value returned in Internet
Explorer 5.01. The following HTML code demonstrates the problem when you use
offsetTop in Internet Explorer 6.0:
<html>
<head>
<script language="JavaScript1.2" type="text/javascript">
function buttonClick()
{
alert (myDiv.offsetTop);
}
</script>
</head>
<body id="myBody">
<table border=1 id="myTable">
<tr>
<td>
<img id=theimage style="position:relative;" src=NT_pressure.jpg border=1
width='100px' height='100px'>
</td>
</tr>
<tr id="myTR">
<td id="myTD">
<div border=1 id=myDiv name=myDiv style="position:relative;">
myDiv
</div>
</td>
</tr>
</table>
<input type=button value="Get myDiv.offsetTop " onclick="buttonClick()"
id=button1 name=button1>
</body>
</html>
