CAUSE
This problem may occur when Group Policy settings for the user who is currently logged on to the computer is refreshed. This problem may occur if either of the following conditions is true:
- A background refresh of Group Policy settings for the user who is currently logged on to the computer occurs.
-or- - You run the secedit /refreshpolicy user_policy /enforce command to immediately refresh Group Policy settings.
In this situation, the refresh operation incorrectly clears the
Smooth edges of screen fonts check box, if it is selected.
RESOLUTION
Service Pack Information
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Windows 2000.
