The scroll bar in the ports section of the Get Connected dialog box does not behave as expected. If you install additional ports on the desktop computer than you can display in the Verify that your connection you are using is available window of the Get Connected dialog box , a scroll bar appears. The scroll bar is inoperable. You cannot move it to display more than eight entries.

RESOLUTION

This behavior is by design.

WORKAROUND

To access the ports that do not appear in the dialog box, delete the duplicated or non-existent ports and then re-run the Get Connected wizard. If the desktop computer does have more than eight com ports, deleted the unnecessary ports from the Hardware Manager, establish a connection with the appropriate port, and then restart the computer. The deleted ports reinstall at restart, and then you can use them again.
