PocketPC: Scroll Bars Do Not Function Properly in Get Connected Dialog (811213)

SYMPTOMSThe scroll bar in the ports section of the Get
Connected dialog box does not behave as expected. If you install
additional ports on the desktop computer than you can display in the
Verify that your connection you are using is available window
of the Get Connected dialog box , a scroll bar appears. The
scroll bar is inoperable. You cannot move it to display more than eight
entries.RESOLUTION This
behavior is by design.WORKAROUNDTo access the ports that do not appear in the dialog box,
delete the duplicated or non-existent ports and then re-run the Get
Connected wizard. If the desktop computer does have more than eight
com ports, deleted the unnecessary ports from the Hardware
Manager, establish a connection with the appropriate port, and then
restart the computer. The deleted ports reinstall at restart, and then you can
use them again.STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are
listed at the beginning of this article.
