SYMPTOMS
If a conference is running on Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server Service Pack 3 (SP3) and a user tries to join the conference from a site that is running Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server Service Pack 2 (SP2), the user cannot join the conference. The user may receive the following error message in the Web browser:
Conference Not Found - Obtaining MCU Error #1: Unable to attach to the T.120 MCU while using the conference technology provider extension
If a conference is running on an Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server SP3 server and a user tries to join the conference from the same site, the user can join the conference successfully. However, if the same user tries to join a conference on a site that is running Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server SP2 immediately after they join the conference on the Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server SP3 server, the user receives the following Microsoft NetMeeting error message:
The specified conference cannot be found.
RESOLUTION
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server service pack that contains this hotfix.
